What Can I Expect During My Treatment?
Your treatment sessions are quick, but the exact amount of time per treatment depends on your treatment area. However, most treatments take approximately 60 minutes.
Even though this treatment involves needles, the procedure is almost painless. As the needles penetrate your skin, you will likely feel a warm, slightly prickly feeling. Your skin care specialist will also apply a medical grade numbing cream to your treatment area to help with any pain or discomfort during your treatment.
What Happens After My Treatment?
This is a minimally invasive treatment, so your downtime is also minimal (usually between 24 and 48 hours). You should expect to see micro-lesions a few days after treatment, and you may experience mild redness and swelling for up to a week after your treatment. However, most clients feel all ‘downtime’ is undetectable within the first 24 hours.
After your treatment, keep the area moisturized and avoid direct sun exposure. We also recommend using a good, broad-spectrum 30+ sunscreen every day. To cover any erythma (redness), we recommend using a tinted SPF or mineral makeup.
